Tired

That trip back to the first place took a lot out of
me. I'm sleeping a lot more now than I have ever done
in the past. It's weird.
I took my Mom and Dad for a long walk in the big wooded place here now that the fluffy white stuff is all gone and the beautiful warm ball in the sky is hanging high. What a great time. I think I wore my ol' Dad out, making him throw the ball for me again and again. We walked a whole loop and I played ball with my dad the whole way. He had a hard time keeping up with me, I'll tell you.
I felt like I could run forever.
Then we got home and I was out like a light for the whole darkness, not waking up until well after the beautiful warm ball was high in the sky again. That's what life seems to be like for me now: bursts of energy, then long sleeps. Not a bad way to live, I guess!
I miss Emily and Clare, though. They and their Mom and Dad sent us a lovely bush today. I can't wait for it to take its place in our garden. It smells so nice. All it needs is to be christened with puppy water and it will be part of the family too!

Home At Last

We're home! We went all the way back to the first
place, in the wheeled rolling room, for a visit. It
was a sad occasion, I think, and my Dad says Oma has
moved on to the next world but for me the visit was
mostly fun fun fun.
I saw many of my old pals from the first place: Emily and Clare, who live with their Mom and Dad in a nice big house; Buddy, my old chum, and his two-leggers Auntie Jackie, Mike and Matthew; Gramma and Grandpa; Lynn and Gavin; and so many many more. I even saw Henry, my first boyfriend, and his new friend Heidi but they have become a pack of their own and weren't very welcoming.
There was one thing I didn't like. No, not at all. The two-leggers have these very large wheeled rolling rooms that run only along ribbons of cold steel and they are loud and rumbly and SCARY. I didn't like that. No sir, not at all. Lynn and Gavin live near some of these cold ribbons of steel and many many of the long rolling rooms on wheels chugged by. It was downright terrifying. I was so scared I made my lunch come back out of my mouth again. A big mess.
So we didn't stay there for very long. Too bad, because I like Lynn and Gavin. But it was just too scary for me to stay. Dad didn't seem to mind it so he stayed there but my Mom and I fled back to Auntie Jackie's place.
We also spent a nice bunch of darknesses and lightnesses with Emily and Clare. Such fun. Clare and I were both sick together but everyone took great care of us. Emily was lovely to me and came along for many walks through the great treed places in the first place. We had fun together. I miss them, now that we're home.
But we are indeed home. And we've all been sleeping a lot. So nice to be in my own bed again.
